MISSION STATEMENT
The Jamaican Delaware Association is committed to educating, uplifting, and empowering individuals of Jamaican heritage and the broader community by fostering a strong, inclusive network. Through cultural celebration, community engagement, and access to resources, we strive to promote unity, opportunity, and holistic development for present and future generations.To achieve this , we focus on the following core pillars:
Promote Jamaican Culture – Organize events and activities that celebrate our music, food, traditions, and history in an effort to cultivate a sense of belonging, promote well-being, and foster education and upliftment within the community.
Support Community Growth – Provide mentorship, networking, and resources to help individuals and families thrive.
Education & Empowerment –Offer programs that support academic achievement, enhance economic mobility, and encourage career development, while also nurturing personal and spiritual growth for a well-rounded path to success.
Service with a Purpose – Engage in charitable initiatives to support both our local Delaware community and causes in Jamaica.
Fostering a Welcoming Environment – Build a welcoming environment where Jamaicans and allies can connect, share experiences, and find a sense of belonging.
